East Garden Gulch Trail, Weaverville
East Garden Gulch Trail is part of the Weaver Basin Trail System.
This trail head begins from Taylor Street, near the Trinity Hospital, and winds through manzanita and oak scrub behind the homes of residents.
The trail forks into 3 directions; Taylor Street, Ten Cent Gulch Trail, Jackass Ridge Spur, and continues with E. Garden Gulch.
The 2014 Oregon Wildfire started on August 24, 2014 and moved quickly through dry grass and brush.
Beginning at Taylor Street, East Garden Gulch Trail starts with some gentle climbing. Once you make it to Ten Cent Gulch Trail, the climbing levels off for a bit only to return as you make your way up to Howe Ditch Trail. This section up to Howe Ditch is better traveled downhill, but you'll find traffic goes in both directions.
Keep on it all the way up to West Garden Gulch Trail where you get to enjoy the fruit of your labor.
