There is a nice selection of household goods, a fun and varied selection of antiques and collectibles, clothing in all sizes and styles, games, tools, and furniture. Anything you can imagine; you can probably find it at Blue Barn Thrift Store. It is located behind the Golden Age Center, which is accessed from Lance Gulch Road. Follow the Blue Barn signs to the parking lot behind the Golden Age Center. They buy up an estate lot, and in their store on Nugget Lane, they show many of the nicer pieces from their purchases. They exhibit a great variety of furniture, jewelry, fine culinary pieces, and many unique and unusual finds.

Nestled in picturesque old Lewiston, with original gas pumps out front, the Country Peddler sets the stage for some fun hunting and gathering in the antiques world. Jean Lam, proprietor, is a jeweler by trade, and sells her own jewelry as well as a variety of jewelry by other artists. Trinity County is rich with artists, and you can find a variety of their work in Jean's store. Jean also does jewelry repair. ### SIXTH STOP: [THE OLD LEWISTON SCHOOLHOUSE LIBRARY](https://trinityplaces.org/entries/old-lewiston-schoolhouse-library-lewiston/46dbcd75-b75c-4794-b10a-024906fdd8c4) ![The Old Schoolhouse Library, Lewiston](https://cdn.elebase.io/b0231978-7825-434e-9700-ca80f2643109/2c06c09b-399e-43d7-a215-f57934cce826-old-lewiston-schoolhouse-library.jpg) The Old Lewiston Schoolhouse Library is full of the history of this small mining town, which was a stagecoach stop on a route running from Redding to the Coast. The library has performed many functions over the years. It has been a schoolhouse, a storage facility, and is currently a community library. You will see old photos, some relics of bygone years, and you can sit at the long table in the center and peruse their many books of Trinity County History. They might even let you ring the old schoolhouse bell!

DAY THREE | A Trip Downriver

This whole place is a treasure! They have delicious, healthy food as well as coffee made from their own roaster. The building is an original hay bale construction building with a large open deck overlooking the wild and scenic Trinity River and the magnificent Strawhouse gardens. You can spend time browsing their wonderful gift shop with some of Trinity's best arts and crafts. If you'd like to spend a night there, your choices are luxury cottages, a yurt, or a nice RV spot.
